So what is PACE?

🧭 Understanding the New PACE Support Categories – and How Community 3SIX5 Can Help

The NDIS is undergoing a significant transformation with the rollout of the new PACE system (Participant-Centered Engagement). Alongside improved systems and processes, PACE introduces new support categories—designed to offer clearer structure, greater transparency, and more participant control. But navigating these changes can be overwhelming, which is exactly where Community 3SIX5 comes in.

Let’s break down the updates—and how we’re here to support you every step of the way.

🔄 What’s New in PACE?

The old NDIS structure had 15 support categories across three budget types: Core, Capacity Building, and Capital. With PACE, that expands to 21 categories across four support types, including a new one: Recurring Supports.

This shift helps define funding areas more clearly and allows participants to better understand which parts of their budget are flexible and which are “stated” (meaning funds must be used exactly as described).

At Community 3SIX5, our team is trained in the PACE system, and we’re already working with participants to explain how the new structure affects their plans and services.
